The Daily Mail has accused Jeremy Corbyn of lacking patriotism and hating Britain because he didn’t support fascism in the 1930s.
The paper, which in the 1930s heaped praise on Hitler’s Nazi Party and lauded the efforts of Oswald Mosley’s blackshirts in the years before Nazi Germany tried to obliterate Britain said the new Labour Party leader should have done the same.
In a forceful editorial the paper commented, “Not only does this man not sing a song about a god that doesn’t exist saving the life of a German monarch that gave Nazi salutes as a youngster, he also fails in his patriotic duty by not having a history of flirting with fascism when it was all the rage in the 1930s. You know, before we found out about all the nasty stuff Hitler was doing. Furthermore, the fact that Corbyn wasn’t born until 1949 is no excuse.”
In other, less important political news, the Conservative Government won a vote to make people better off by cutting their tax credits.
