The Daily Telegraph, Sun and Daily Mail have urged readers to back Ed Miliband and vote Labour in today’s General Election, we can report.

After weeks in which all three papers have attacked the Labour leader, all have run editorials saying they were only taking the piss and that they actually think that Labour’s approach to the deficit, the NHS and housing crisis is the most sensible and realistic.

A Telegraph insider said, “Come on, did you really think that anti Ed Miliband stuff was for real? Did you actually think a respected newspaper such as ours would stoop so low as to argue that the way a man eats a bacon sandwich indicates whether he is fit for office or not? We’re better than that, and we actually think Ed is quite attractive.”

Today’s Daily Mail includes a cut out and keep vote Labour poster and ‘we love Ed M’ t shirt.

The Sun published a provocative picture of Ed Miliband wearing nothing but a Union Jack.
